nocomment

April 6th, 2015 by Jan

This morning I re-read several of my bloggy posts. Not so much as to re-read them, but to check the comments. For some reason, I don’t get notifications when someone posts a comment, so I need to open the JJJ sight, and read each post again, to see if anyone went to the trouble.

I rarely go to the trouble.

But, I see some of you did and I want to say thank you. Also, to ask for forgiveness for not responding to your response.

I read many really nice words and interesting comments today. Thanks.

Of course, I write as a practice. I am happiest when I have a topic and  yet, most days I sit down, open a blank page, and see what comes. I don’t always post what I write. I’m never sure who reads this — I know it is very much a public “dear diary.” Still, I do my best to keep things in the principle of “say what you mean, mean what you say and don’t say it mean.” If I can’t do that – I still write, I just don’t post. (most of the time)

Thank you for reading and thank you for your comments. I will try to remember to go back every once in a while and look for them. But, I wonder if I respond — how will you know? It isn’t like Facebook where a little red number comes up in the corner.

In the mean time, I hope you enjoy your day. It’s a beautiful sunny day here on the Sunshine Coast, and I plan to take a good walk for two reasons.

1. I love a good walk.
2. I am near the end of the audio book, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel Joyce. I am really enjoying this book and have just over one hour left to find out what happens!

    Hi Jan,

Well, perhaps this explains why you think only a couple of people read this! Sometimes, what you write here really calls to me for a response, and sometimes I can’t bring together what I feel and so I don’t reply. Sometimes, what you write doesn’t seem to call for a response. Sometimes you say that you don’t want any comments, so I don’t. But I check this every day, and if I think you might respond I might go back a few posts to see if there’s anything there. But mostly I just appreciate this chance to connect with you from so far away.
