The last time we were in New Mexico was for my dads memorial service.
Now, even though everything is different — nothing is.

I’m not waking early enough for the sunrise, and yet, Art is starting our day with coffee and smoothies, just like Ken and I have at home.

The big difference is, at home I don’t put six scoops of ice cream in our morning smoothies!

Sports are still on the TV, but no FOX news and gratefully, no talk of politics.

I still take several walks a day, but it’s more to move my body than to get away from from the drama.

We’re eating well, even with the morning milk shake, green chile on everything, every chance we get.

The weather has gone from 110 in the shade yesterday, to me wearing a sweater this morning, bracing from a super cold wind. If you don’t like the weather in New Mexico – wait five minutes.

I don’t have much to write about right now. I’m looking forward to this next week when good friends will join us and we move down the hill to Rancho Nambé.

My brother Ty is coming to visit today. I’ll ask Ken to take a photo. My family has always been goofy and no one really ever knew where they stood, but now that we are down to three;
I can honestly say, I stand in the middle.
