Another Hollywood star dies of addiction. Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead with a needle still in his arm in his NYC apartment.
I am very sorry for the loss of such a talented man. I am sad for his family and those that loved him. Mr. Hoffman spent nearly 23 years in recovery, yet I heard he struggled for the last two years in relapse.
I’ve been told that I spend tooo much time talking about addiction, especially for someone who has “recovered†from alcoholism. I continue to talk about it because I need to.
I need to for many reasons, but mostly because of the single fact that while the news of Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death saddens me, it does not surprised me.
