abouttime

March 8th, 2014 by Jan

I am an early to bed and early to rise kind of person. For the most part it works real well for me. I read a little each night in bed and quit when I can’t keep my eyes open. I usually sleep quite well and wake up without an alarm a mere seven and a half hours later. That is unless Peet needs food or attention, then I don’t get as much as I like.

Just like most people I have a night time routine before I get into bed — set up the coffee pot, do some sit ups, brush my teeth, set out tomorrows clothes, etc. You know… stuff.

Tonight before I go to bed I need to add, change the clocks for day light savings time to my routine.

An old Indian Chief once said, “Only a white man would cut six inches off one end of a blanket, sew it back on the other end, and convinced himself he has a longer blanket.”

I am not a fan of changing the clocks twice a year.

I don’t know if it will be lighter or still dark when I wake in the morning. I do know it will feel odd for a few days, until we get used to the time change again.

You may ask, why are you writing this post Jan? As, I haven’t had much to say this week.

The truth is, I am stalling.

See, if I go to bed right now, which is my regular time… it will only be 8:00 p.m. and well, even I think that is a little too early to call it a day.

Ken just told me I turned all the clocks the wrong direction! Now,it seems I’m going to bed quite late!

🙂
