I’m reading Tears of the Giraffe. It is the second book in the series of The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency.

Both books have been a super fun read. I look forward to the third in the series. They are the perfect, sit on the deck, in the sun, on a summer day, and read, type of books.

What I really like is the bio of the author. It cracks me up.

Alexander McCall Smith is a professor of medical law at Edinburgh University He was born in what is now known as Zimbabwe and taught law at the University of Botswana. He is the author of over 50 books on a wide range of subjects, including specialist titles such as Forensic Aspects of Sleep and the Criminal Law of Botswana, children’s books such as The Perfect Hamburger, and a collection of stories called Portuguese Irregular Verbs.

I read his bio out loud to Ken. Of course Ken then asked the most important question when we always ask when we hear of remarkable people doing a variety of things.

“Yeah, but does he have a life?”

Ha-Ha!!!
What a life!
