Everyone talks about the weather and nobody does anything about it.

No matter what is going on in your area — some other place has it worse, better or different.

Colorado is on fire, there are flood warnings and heat waves in other parts of the world, as well as lovely palm trees swaying in a warm gentle breeze; there is perfect weather for a picnic somewhere in the world today. Here on Bowen Island we have rain.     Still………

But just try and complain and you get hit with some comparison that makes you feel like you live in the best place in the world, with the best possible life and at least your house didn’t burn down or the black flies don’t come to your neighbourhood or this or that, and perhaps you should shut up and be grateful.

Weather is, what weather is and I will add — cranky is what cranky is too. I can’t do anything about the weather, but I’ll work on not being so cranky about it all.
